Misty Moonlight

I painted this one from memory—a moment that stayed with me. Years ago, my brother Jack and I were heading home from a job in Wyoming, driving through Colorado in the dead of night. Around 2 a.m., we crossed a quiet bridge and pulled off by the river. Jack looked out across the water, pointed, and said, “I’m going to build me a house right over there.” The moon was breaking through the clouds, casting light through the mist. It was one of those still, powerful moments—and I’ve carried it with me ever since.
